With the release of Ambien Series bundled with Kantoj de Epokoj, regrettably, today I announce the discontinuation of the project "OmniCreamo", Here I will explain the reason behind this decision, as well as what this means for other works, and what may occur next.

Reasons for Discontinuation

Idea Scarcity

There are three reasons for the discontinuation, but the main reason is: I am running out of ideas.

For the project, I always try my best to create music tracks with just as much quality as I usually make for myself, but in doing so, I have been throwing away ideas I could have made for myself instead. It may seem like a selfish thing to say, but when I am done with both OmniCreamo and groovefair, I might have no ideas left, which meant I cannot make anymore songs for myself after exhausting it all on works under Creative Commons license, which these music tracks I am sure no one will ever want to use. OmniCreamo was created to help beginners like myself explore the wonders of music, and yet it was a useless, pointless investment. If I can only make music no one wants to listen to or use for their projects, what would be the point of letting others use it?

The Rise of Artificial Intelligence

The world of Generative AI has been booming recently, and with its rise come new problems especially for creatives like myself, especially the issue with copyright. It is quite a common knowledge now that most Generative AI services stole copyrighted content or forced artists to have their works be used as training data without consent. By putting these music tracks under Creative Commons Zero, I have unknowingly allowed all such unethical services to legally use my music however they please. I am verily against using such technology to replace the very point of OmniCreamo with mere consumerism, as creating art and music is more than just the end result.

As much as I want to believe no service would want to use OmniCreamo as training data, I do not wish to take the chance.

The Passion had died

These two reasons had brought me to the third reason why I want to discontinue this project altogether: I no longer feel passion in sharing my music like this; the passion is dead. There is no need for the project to continue when there are better options for free music available, when the project may be abused for themselves, when the ideas I have had become so scarce. It was naïve of me to assume it will be a good cause to give away music for all to learn from, for all to use freely and ethically, for al to enjoy. Unfortunately the world is not so simple and utopian anymore.

What this means for my other works, and the future ahead

The discontinuation of OmniCreamo is only the beginning of a new age for my musical journey. Because of this discontinuation, I am now open to creating any kind of music however I want to, and no longer bound to a single theme. More opportunities for new music to be made, new ideas for new music to be realized; that is what this discontinuation means. OmniCreamo's limitations had only given me composer's block, but by breaking free of such limiting specifications, it gives me freedom to create whatever I want to hear, however I want. In shorter words: As that lingering pressure is gone, it will drastically allow me to come up with more ideas for music.

Final Words

This entire project has been quite a showcase of my skills as a music composer and the growth of said skills over the years, but at some point, all things must come to an end. I am very sorry that it had to end so abruptly, but this is for the best of things, for myself. These are the times when one must keep their pride as a creative.

Even with the discontinuation, all the packs including Pack 3, which is also bundled with the Ambien series and Pack 3's supposed successor "Tempospiel", will remain available for free download.
