Up until now, the OmniCreamo public domain music project has always provided music in high quality file formats: WAV and OGG files. It is a rule followed by this project that all tracks within this multi-album project should provide music the way it was intended to be heard. Uncompressed files such as WAV provide exactly that, and lossless compression file formats such as OGG are able to do just as well as WAV with the additional perk of saving space without losing noticeable detail. This system worked for quite some time, until it has become evident that this site can only provide limited file upload size, which will be a problem when it comes to uploading new packs, especially the upcoming Pack 3 and Pack 3.1. Therefore it has been decided: WAV files will no longer be available in future Packs. Starting today, I will only provide Packs with tracks using the file formats: OGG, FLAC, and MIDI.

This radical decision will not only help the users of these Packs who need to download Packs very quickly, but also will help save space for my hard disk drives. Know that it had to be done to keep this project alive. It may be slightly inconvenient, but if you ever need the audio files to be in a different file format like WAV or MP3 or the like, I wholeheartedly allow you to convert the files to whichever file format you would like to use.

As for Pack 1 and Pack 2, all the WAV files within these packs will still be available for download.

I am happily looking forward to sharing the next Pack for OmniCreamo, and I aim to do so within this year, though, no promises on the release date. For now, you can listen to previews of Pack 3 tracks on my YouTube channel.
